Over the years, we have developed a team of professional installers, accurate estimators, and very informative customer service staffers in three well located decoratively merchandised GTA showrooms featuring hundreds of floor samples by species, colour, milling profiles and installation applications. Our newest location in the Kingsway has a Certified Interior Decorator for flooring consultations in your home and to generally assist you in making the right decorating decisions.

Right from our opening in 1989, The Floor Shop has focused on developing extensive product knowledge on all hardwood flooring, engineered hardwoods, exotics and green flooring products.
Amazing Showrooms
The Floor Shop’s 3-GTA showrooms are where your hardwood flooring search will likely begin. Each showroom features 300-plus large sample displays and our flooring consultants will introduce you to the unique qualities of each of the domestic or exotic wood species. We encourage you to bring along room photos, wall colour samples, etc. and we will send you home with some selected flooring samples to test out in your home.
Our Builder, Designer, and Decorator customers like to bring their clients to our showrooms when selecting hardwoods, cork, bamboo or designer laminates because of the comfortable environment; and The Floor Shop consultants, some with a decorating background will be pleased to recommend the right flooring for each rooms purpose.

Detailed Written Estimates
A Floor Shop Estimator will visit your home, accurately measure the rooms and explain the necessary stages from tear-out and preparation to the installation of your chosen flooring. Once your questions have been answered, you will be given a written estimate with an itemized cost of flooring materials, required transition pieces, and installation. Then we’ll book your installation date and review with you how to prepare your home for installation day.
Flooring Installation
We will install everything we sell, so if you don’t have an experienced hardwood flooring installer, we’ll discuss the details with you! Our installers are bonded, insured and fully experienced in nail-down, floating and glue-down installation techniques for pre-finished and unfinished hardwoods, in new and older houses & condos; over radiant floor heating and below grade installations like your basement area.
